Putin orders govt to team up with financial agencies against fraud

MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Interior Ministry should work together with financial institutions and connection operators to fight cyber fraud, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

“We should improve cooperation between the Interior Ministry, the financial institutions, connection operators, and other entities working in the digital space and telecommunications most seriously,” Putin said.

Higher cyber security needs more coordinated work of the law enforcers, state agencies and regulators, the expert community, and business, the president added.

“Cyber technologies develop fast, and new risks emerge. They should be prevented and we should not allow the criminals to parasitize on the technological progress,” Putin said.
